
JOEY LANGSTON HAS CARVED OUT A FORMIDABLE REPUTATION in decades
of high-profile cases, including the largest single
victim wrongful death settlement in Mississippi history.
Born in 1957, Joey Langston graduated from Millsaps
College in Jackson and earned his J.D. from the University
of Mississippi School of Law in 1983. He began practicing
with Langston & Lott in the same year and assumed
leadership after the death of his father, founder Joe
Ray Langston, in 1986. Langston began his practice specializing
in criminal defense, wrongful death and personal injury
cases. Under his guidance, the firm has expanded into
new areas of expertise including product liability,
consumer fraud, mass tort and class actions. He is past
president of the Prentiss County Bar, an active lifetime
member of the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association
and a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Joey Langston holds a Martindale-Hubbell® “AV” Rating,
indicating “very high to pre- eminent” legal ability
and very high ethical standards as established by confidential
opinions from members of the Bar. He is admitted to practice
in Mississippi and The District of Columbia. He also is a frequent speaker at legal
symposiums around the country. Joey and his wife, Tracie,
have three sons.
